School Closure due to Industrial Action – Thursday 16th of March

Carew Peel Forest School will be closed for instruction due to industrial action by NZEI members on Thursday 16th of March.

Our school will be open for limited supervision of students for those in our community that are unable to have students at home or make alternative childcare arrangements.

To ensure safety, please let Trudie know if your child will need supervision at school on Thursday 16th of March. 

Triathlon set to go for tomorrow.

We are kicking off with the Piwakawaka race  just after 12:45. Can parent’s please park at the hall and enter through the gate by the playground, or park by the bus turnaround at the east end of school.

Rain or shine we’re going to go ahead. 

Busses are running as normal. 

There is no rippa tonight due to the weather.

Our swimming event is set to run tomorrow! Please put two towels in your child’s bag! It will be warm 🙂 More information below!

It is a celebration of all the teaching, learning and success our students have had in the pool. We are excited to have our community back to watch this festival of top quality, high performance swimming skills!

Key Information!

Children will require:

Swimming Togs, Towels x2, Warm Jersey, Thermals, and PLEASE NO WETSUITS.

Parents viewing area is north side of the pool on the grass area. Please stay in this area.

Preschoolers need to remain in this area also and will need to be watched closely.

Tarahaoa classes start at 11am, followed by a community picnic lunch. Our BBQ will be cooking tasty, steaming sausages for a Gold coin donation. All funds will go to the flood recovery efforts in the North Island. Join us for a feed and a cup of tea. We will hold a Care Crew relay at 1.30pm followed by the Huatekerekere class events.
